Billie Marten “Winter Song”

You know when it’s cold out and you can see your breath in the air? It doesn’t last long but it’s kind of like magic? Your breath is literally being taken away. Yea, that’s the best way I can describe this song.

Ben Abraham “Speak”

I can’t even put into words how stunning this song is. It’s the best musical composition I’ve heard in a long time. I’m currently wiping the tears from my eyes. I love the power music has over us sometimes. Or all the time, really.

Sam Smith “Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas”

I admit …the first time I heard Sam’s angelic version of this song, I cried. Sam deserves every bit of accolade he’s received this past year… and then some.

Bastille “bad_news” f/ MNEK

Really enjoyed Other People’s Heartache Pt. III from Bastille and friends. The beat to this song is on point. We really need to give some love to their other songs. “Pompeii” is nowhere near the only good song they have.

Charli XCX “Gold Coins”

Charli XCX “Gold Coins”

I mean, the entire SUCKER album is phenomenal from beginning to end. This particular song was a standout for me. Charli is and has been my favorite female musician for a while now, hands down.

I’m totally about this life.

Shy Girls “Renegade”

Is it hot in here? Or is it this song? Damn. The winter weather has nothing on this. Prepare to get all hot and bothered in a really good way.

Hannah Diamond “Every Night”

This may very well be the next “Call Me Maybe”. Catchy instrumentation. Easy-to-learn vocals. It’s a fun song all around.

Melanie Martinez “Carousel”

#tbt

Came across this one back around Halloween time but never got around to posting it.

Full Disclaimer: This video scares the crap out of me. But the song is freakishly fantastic.

Becky G “Can’t Stop Dancin’”

I love the latin flavor that Becky G brings to the pop game.
