Bipolar Sunshine “Daydreamer”
A fantastic song for the daydreamers out there, like yours truly.
Lifehouse will always have a special place in my heart as one of my favorite bands. I’ve seen the trio live in concert countless times and some of my best live music memories to date (!!) were at their shows. Whether it was standing for hours to see them perform at Starland Ballroom in New Jersey, seeing them on tour with the always awesome Goo Goo Dolls or catching them in the pouring rain at the Tom’s River Festival in 2008, they rocked. And hard.
“Flight” is the newest addition to their musical collection. It’s not going to be my favorite by any means (that honor goes to “Simon”) but it turns into classic Lifehouse around the 2:30 mark.
Nick Jonas “Avalanche” f/ Demi Lovato
Glad to see these former Disney channel stars making sweeeeet music together. Nick’s new album is smokin’ hot. And I recently saw Ms. Lovato live in concert w/ my goddaughter and I have a newfound appreciation for her as a person and a musician. Great track here!
Her songs are exactly that, lullabies.
Meghan Trainor “Lips Are Movin”
Super fun song I’ve been known to sing along to in my car. And it’s nice and refreshing to hear new music from her since, let’s face it, Bass has been overplayed everywhere.
Seinabo Sey “You”
“Won’t you tell me to my face, if I’m bout to be replaced?” …That would make things easier, thanks.
Lovely, understated gem from Ms. Sey out of Sweden.
ashes music notes turned 2 today! Yay!
James Bay “Let It Go”
I stumbled upon singer-songwriter James Bay and his music a few weeks back. Haven’t had much time to write until now. From the first few strums of the guitar on “Let It Go”, I was hooked. This song is executed in such a delicate yet powerful way and James really delivers on the vocals. Gorgeous stuff.
O-Town “I Won’t Lose”
Good to see these boys back. Oh nostalgia, how I love thee.
